September 7th

A 15 year old male from Spring Lake and a 14 year old male from Summit were taken into custody by Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka.  The juvenile were found in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  Both were release to guardians and paperwork was forwarded to the Monmouth County Family Court for processing.

 

September 5th

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Joseph Sweeny 25, Toms River was arrested by Patrolman Ryan Reiff based on an active warrant out of another jurisdiction.

Patrolman Emmett Smith received a report of fraud from a resident in the 400 block of Salem Avenue.

Officer Harry Cuttrell responded to the 000 block of Lorraine Avenue for a red tailed hawk that was struck by an vehicle and stuck in the grill.  With the assistance of the Associated Human Society the hawk was freed and taken for treatment.

September 2nd

Patrolman William Kelly received a report of theft from a resident from the 100 block of Mercer Avenue.

Patrolman William Kelly received a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle in the 2300 block of Ocean Avenue.

Patrolman Michael Palmer received a report of burglary and theft from the Marucci Park Little League Shack.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski is investigating.

Updated October 1st, individuals have been identified and charged.

 

August 30th

Officer Matthew Phillips received a report of a burglary and theft to the concession stand at Brown Avenue Lot.  Lieutenant Timothy Giblin assisted in the investigation.

Eyal Hubara 49, Hatboro, PA was arrested in the area of Newark Avenue Beach by Officer Kyle Dick.  Hatboro was charge with indecent exposure to a child.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski & Sergeant Patrick Gilroy assisted in the investigation.
