Michael Socha 57, Point Pleasant was arrested in the area of Second Avenue and Morris Avenue by Sergeant Patrick Gilroy. Socha was charged with criminal mischief, burglary, theft and criminal trespass after he was located after entering a residence in the 300 block of Jersey Avenue.

Patrolman William Kelly responded to the 300 block of Passaic Avenue for an animal complaint.

Patrols responded to the area of Church Street and the NJ Transit Railroad Tracks for a report of a vehicle stuck on the tracks. Vehicle was removed without incident and NJ Transit Police is handling the investigation.

Patrolman Ryan Reiff responded to the 000 block of Lorraine Avenue for a report of an attempted burglary / theft of a motor vehicle. Actor(s) fled the area after finding the keys were not in the vehicle. Residents are reminded to lock and remove keys/key fobs from vehicles at all times.
