Patrolman Matthew Phillips received a report of harassment from a resident that responded to Spring Lake Police Headquarters.

Patrolman Matthew Phillips responded to a report of a suspicious incident in the 2500 block of Ocean Avenue.

Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka responded to the 2000 block of Ocean Avenue for a report of a suspicious incident.

Patrolman Michael Palmer responded to the 1800 block of Fifth Avenue for a dispute.

Dominic Beerman, 27, of Belmar was arrested by Patrolman Matthew Phillips. Beerman was charged with one count of Burglary, four counts of Criminal Attempt – Burglary and Five Counts of Trespass.  The charges stem from an investigation that began on January 10th.  Beerman was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution on a no bail warrant.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski, as well as Officers from the Wall Township Police Department and Belmar Police Department assisted in identifying and arresting Beerman.

Patrolman Sean Duggan received a report of theft from a residence in the 300 block of Jersey Avenue.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the 500 block of Warren Avenue, a juvenile male of Spring Lake Heights was arrested by Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka.  The juvenile was taken into custody for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana.  The juvenile was released to a guardian and paperwork was forwarded to the Monmouth County Family Court for processing.

Patrolman Matthew Phillips and Sergeant Timothy Moran responded to the 000 block of Vroom Avenue for a suspicious person in the back yard attempting to enter the home.  The reporting party was not at the scene and advised that there had been a 20 minute delay in notifying the police.  Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the subject.

Officers canvassed the area and located evidence that the same actor attempted or entered homes in the vicinity.  Detective Christopher Kucinski is investigating.

UPDATED: JANUARY 18TH – SUBJECT IDENTIFIED & ARRESTED

Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski received a report of attempted fraud from a resident in the 100 block of Ocean Avenue.

Scott Olesen 23, Wayside was arrested by Patrolman William Kelly near the intersection of Third Avenue and Monroe Avenue.  Olesen was charged with breach of peace.

Officer William Noble received a report of theft of a bicycle from the Spring Lake Railroad Station.
