December 5th

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Third Avenue and Pitney Avenue, Emma Dobrzynski, 23 Rumson was arrested by Patrolman Joseph Liddy. Dobrzynski was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as several other motor vehicle offenses.

December 4th

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Third Avenue and Worthington Avenue, Tyler Nichols 26, Bradley Beach was arrested by Patrolman Joseph Liddy. Nichols was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as several other motor vehicle violations.

November 28th

Patrolman Joseph Liddy and Patrolman James Heine were dispatched to the area of Church Street and the NJ Transit Railroad Tracks for a report of an individual struck by a train. Patrols responded and located a single deceased female victim. NJ Transit Police is investigating.

November 24th

On November 24, 2021 patrols were dispatched to the area of Ludlow Avenue and Second Avenue for a report of a strong-armed robbery of a bicycle.  The juvenile male victim reported that three actors with knives approached him and demanded his bicycle.  While responding to the area Patrolman James Heine observed three individuals matching the description.  As Patrolman Heine went out with the males, they fled the area dropping a knife.  A short while later Sergeant Patrick Gilroy and Patrolman Heine located two of the three actors and placed them into custody.  The actors were a 17-year-old juvenile and 15-year-old juveniles from Asbury Park.  All were charged with a count of robbery by injury or threat as well as a count of unlawful possession of a weapon.  All of the juveniles were released to a parent or guardian pending action by the family court.   

UPDATE November 30th: The third actor was identified as a 15 year old male from Asbury Park. On November 30, 2021, he was arrested and charged with robbery by injury or threat. He was also released to a guardian pending action by the family court.
