July 29th

Efran Sanchez 22, Neptune was arrested in Marucci Park by Patrolman Emmett Smith.  Efran was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

Officer Matthew McGrady received a report of criminal mischief in the 400 block of Ocean Road

July 27th

On Monroe Avenue Beach a 15 year old male from Manasquan was taken into custody for theft, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.  The juvenile was released to the care of a guardian pending action by the Monmouth County Family Court.

On Monroe Avenue Beach a 15 year old male from Manasquan was taken into custody for theft and possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.  The juvenile was released to the care of a guardian pending action by the Monmouth County Family Court.

On Monroe Avenue Beach a 16 year old female from Spring Lake was taken into custody for possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.  The juvenile was released to the care of a guardian pending action by the Monmouth County Family Court.

On Monroe Avenue Beach a 16 year old female from Wall was taken into custody for possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.  The juvenile was released to the care of a guardian pending action by the Monmouth County Family Court.

On Monroe Avenue Beach a 16 year old female from Spring Lake was taken into custody for possession of alcoholic beverage under the age of 21.  The juvenile was released to the care of a guardian pending action by the Monmouth County Family Court.

July 26th

Lamar Johnson 45, Asbury Park was arrested by Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski at Allenhurst Police Headquarters.  Johnson was charged with three (3) counts of burglary as well as three (3) counts of theft.  Johnson was charged after an investigation identified him as the actor in the incidents on 000 block of Ludlow Avenue (June 21st), the 1100 block of Ocean Avenue (June 25th) as well as the 000 block of Vroom Avenue (June 27th).  Detective Sergeant Kucinski was assisted in the investigation by Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka, Patrolman William Kelly, Patrolman Jeffrey Algor as well as officers from Belmar & Allenhurst Police Departments.

July 24th

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Jason Halczak 19, Warminster PA was arrested by Patrolman Matthew Phillips on Second Avenue near the intersection of Salem Avenue.  Halczak was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, as well as a motor vehicle offense.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Christopher Halczak 22, Warminster PA was arrested by Patrolman Matthew Phillips on Second Avenue near the intersection of Salem Avenue.  Halczak was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia

July 23rd

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Dennis Savini 68, Point Pleasant was arrested by Patrolman Jeffrey Algor.  Savini was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs as well as other motor vehicle offenses.

Ben Cutler 23, Spring Lake was arrested by Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinksi at Spring Lake Police Headquarters.  Cutler was charged with three (3) counts of burglary, one (1) count of criminal trespass and one (1) count of theft.  Cutler was charged after investigation identified him as the actor in the incidents On Jersey Avenue and Fifth Avenue on July 23rd (see entry for further details).  Patrolman William Kelly and Officer William Noble assisted in the investigation.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop Sead Hodzic 30, Morganville was arrested by Officer William Noble on First Avenue near the intersection of Brown Avenue.  Hodzic was arrested based on active warrants out of another jurisdiction.

July 22nd

Subsequent to a borough ordinance violation, David Garrett 24, Morris Township was arrested by Officer Ian Davis on the Newark Avenue Beach.  Garrett was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana as well as possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.  Officer Andrew Garrity and Officer William Flockhart assisted in the arrest.

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Thomas Costello 64, East Brunswick was arrested in the 400 block of Passaic Avenue by Patrolman Emmett Smith.  Costello charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be cocaine, having an active warrant out of another jurisdiction as well as motor vehicle offenses.
