Patrolman James Heine received a report of vandalism in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue.
Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka received a report of fraud from a resident in the 000 block of Newark.
Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, David Laub 23, Eatontown was arrested by Patrolman Ryan Reiff. Â Laub was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

Spring Lake will have a Memorial Day Parade starting from H.W. Mountz school at 10:30 am and continue through Third Avenue to the Monument at Fifth Avenue & Passaic Avenue where there will be a ceremony at 11:00 am. Â Please come out to honor veterans.

On May 24th, the Friends of Spring Lake 5 will be hosting the Spring Lake 5’s Kids Race. Â The event is held on Ocean Avenue near the area of the South End Pavilion. Â The event is open to children up to 14 years of age.

Ocean Avenue will be closed to traffic and parking from Sussex Avenue south to Sea Girt boarder for the Kids Race.
Possessing an alcoholic beverage in public is illegal and will be strictly enforced with a summons being issued.
On May 27, 2017 many roads in the Borough will be closed for the Spring Lake 5 Mile Run (see below for course map). The race begins at 8 AM and many roads will be closed shortly before that time.  Parking is also prohibited on the following streets due to the race:
All of Ocean Avenue
North Boulevard from Ocean Avenue to Main Street – Belmar/Lake Como
Third Avenue from Lake Como to Passaic Avenue
Third Avenue in the Business District
Warren Avenue from Third Avenue to Fifth Avenue
Fifth Avenue between Passaic Avenue and Warren Avenue
Warren Avenue & West Lake Avenue from Fifth Avenue to Second Avenue
Second Avenue from West Lake Drive to Brown AvenueÂ
All of Brown Avenue
Any vehicle parked in those areas will be ticketed and towed. The overnight parking ordinance will not be enforced on Friday, May 27 (Friday night into Saturday morning, 5/27/17). If you need to leave the Borough anytime in the morning, we suggest you park your vehicle on a street west of the race course to make it easier to leave town.
Normal traffic patterns and parking regulations will resume at noon on Saturday, May 27, 2017.  Thank you for your cooperation and have a safe weekend.
On Saturday,  April 29,  at 8:15 am the Tri Shore Little League will be holding their Opening Day Ceremony & Parade.  The Parade will start from the flag pole at Third Avenue & Passaic Avenue.  Players & Coaches will be walking down Third Avenue to Marucci Park where there will be an  Opening Day Ceremony.
Portions of Third Avenue will be closed to traffic during the event.
Patrolman William Kelly received a report of attempted identification theft and attempted fraud from a resident in the 000 block of Madison Avenue.
While performing a check of Marucci Park Patrolman Matthew Phillips located a juvenile from Neptune in possession of alcohol. Â The juvenile was released to his parents pending action by the family court.
