June 13th

Patrolman Matthew Phillips responded to the 200 block of Ludlow Avenue for a juvenile incident.

Officer Kyle Dick received a report of theft of a bicycle from a garage in the 200 block of Ludlow Avenue.  The victim reports that the theft may have occurred between June 5th to June 7th

June 11th

The following individuals were arrested and charged with a series of burglaries and thefts that occured along the beachfront from June 9th to June 11th.  Patrolman James Heine, Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka and Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski were involved in the investigation and arrest.

Maximiliano Vascancellos 29, Elizabeth

  • theft – 2 counts
  • criminal mischief – 2 counts
  • conspiracy to commit theft

Michael Astudillo 32, Elizabeth

  • Burglary – 2 counts

Pedro Rodrigo Salinas Solis 30, Elizabeth

  • Burglary – 2 counts
  • theft – 2 counts
  • criminal mischief – 2 counts

June 10th

Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka received a report of burglary, theft and criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 1800 block of Ocean Avenue.  Detective Sergeant Kucinski is investigating.

UPDATE: JUNE 11TH

     * Individuals have been identified, arrested and charged.

 

June 9th

Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Jonathan Baran, 37 Avon and Francine Windley, 35 Brick were arrested by Lieutenant Timothy Giblin.  Baran was charged with three (3) counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two (2) counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana.  Windleywas charged with  two (2) counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, two (2) counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana.

Sergeant Patrick Gilroy received a report of burglary, theft and criminal mischief to a motor vehicle in the 1400 block of Ocean Avenue.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski is investigating.

   * Individuals were identified, arrested and charged.

June 10th

Spring Lake Dispatch received several calls of a vehicle that had struck the main building at H.W. Mountz School.  Spring Lake Officers as well as Spring Lake Fire Companies and Spring Lake First Aid was dispatched.  As a precaution the school was evacuated.  No injuries were reported and the driver of the vehicle was evaluated by Spring Lake First Aid and refused further medical attention.  The driver was issued several motor vehicle summons and the crash is being investigated by Officer Harry Cuttrell.

June 4th

Spring Lake Dispatch received a call for a group of individuals that were damaging the “Welcome to Spring Lake” at Monroe and Third Avenues.  Patrolman William Kelly and Patrolman Matthew Phillips were dispatched to the area and located the group of juveniles and adults.  Two of the individuals were charged with criminal mischief for the damage to the sign.

June 3rd

Officer Harry Cuttrell received a report of theft from a residence in the 200 block of Newark Avenue.  Detective Sergeant Christopher Kucinski is assisting in the investigation.

Updated July 8th

    * Victim contacted this agency to advise that the items reported stolen were located.

June 1st

Officer William Noble received a report of a suspicious circumstance in the area of the Passaic Avenue and Third Avenue.

Patrolman Matthew Phillips received a report of burglary, theft and criminal mischief from a resident in the 100 block of Vroom Avenue.
