 Once again it’s time to skate!  The Borough has checked the ice and once again deemed it safe for activity.  Because of the uneven ice in the area previously used we have moved the area open to activity.
Please do not skate in the area by the flagpole (Passaic Avenue). Â Please use the are between the bridges that is sectioned off with rope. Â See map below for an approximate area, outlined in green, that was cleared for activity. Â
 
On March 1, 2015 Belmar / Lake Como will host the 42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Â The parade will begin at 10:30 am from Third Avenue near Monroe Avenue. Â Marchers, bands, emergency vehicles, as well as others will be marching down the crowd lined Main Street of Lake Como & Belmar in honor of St. Patrick.
Portions of Third Avenue, Monroe Avenue, and South Boulevard will be closed to traffic before and during the event.
On Saturday February 28th, H.W. Patrolman William Kelly received a report of fraud from a resident from the 000 block of Union Avenue.
Patrolman Emmett Smith & Patrolman William Kelly responded to a residence in the 200 block of St. Clair Avenue for a report of harassment.
Patrolman Ryan Reiff responded to the 700 block of Ocean Avenue for a reported dispute.
Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka received a report of attempted fraud from a resident in the 100 block of St. Clair Avenue.

Patrolman Emmett Smith responded to a residence in the 2000 block of First Avenue for a report of harassment.
Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop, Sergeant Anthony Ploskonka arrested a 17 year old male for possession of a controlled dangerous substance, believed to be under 50 grams of marijuana and possession of controlled dangerous paraphernalia. Â The juvenile was released to the custody of his guardian pending action of the family court.
