Patrolman Emmett Smith received a report of burglary and theft from a vehicle in the 100 block of Atlantic Avenue.
aUGUST 29TH
Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of First Avenue and Vroom Avenue, Hashiel Williams 32, Clermont, FL, was arrested by Patrolman William Noble. Williams was charged with driving while intoxicated as well as several other motor vehicle offenses.
August 27th
Patrolman William Kelly received a report of fraud and identity theft from a resident in the 400 block of Essex Avenue.
August 25th
Subsequent to a motor vehicle stop in the area of Third Avenue and Ludlow Avenue, Scott Keiderling 29, Port Monmouth was arrested by Patrolman Joseph Liddy. Keiderling was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to breath tests as well as several other motor vehicle offenses.

Patrolman William Kelly responded to a report of juveniles trespassing in the 100 block of Monroe Avenue.
August 14th
At approximately 1240 am Special Officers Newman and Waldron were on patrol on the boardwalk in the area of Brown Avenue. As the officers came to the southernmost end of the boardwalk they observed a commotion on the beach near the outflow pipe of Wreck Pond. Both responded down to the area where they were advised that a group was out swimming in the area of the pipe. As the individuals came onto the beach, they found that they were unable to locate a 16 female from Sea Girt. After hours swimmer in distress was activated, consisting of SMART Team members of the Spring Lake, Sea Girt & Manasquan Lifeguards. Also dispatched were the Spring Lake Fire Companies, Spring Lake First Aid, Sea Girt Fire Company, Manasquan Marine 27, New Jersey State Police, NJ Coast Guard as well as other surrounding agencies to assist. During the exhaustive search the female was located in the area of Brown Avenue Lot. The victim stated that while in the water by the pipe she was pulled into the pipe and drawn into Wreck Pond. The victim was experiencing near drowning symptoms and was transported by Spring Lake EMS to be evaluated at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Parents were notified by patrols.
Scene cleared without further incident.
As a reminder this incident could have turned out much worse. Individuals are reminded that it is not safe to be in the Ocean at night. Incidents like this not only put you in danger but those that are called out for you in your time of need.
